Fun Fact—I have a husky and I love sharing pictures of her!

Working in sound since 2017.

Hi! My name is Kerry Stephens and I am a sound engineer based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

I began doing sound for my high school plays, and continued working in live sound throughout college by operating the board for our ESPN3 sports broadcasts, and by running sound for local concerts in our parks. This provided me with knowledge of MIDAS, Yamaha, and Behringer systems.

After graduating from NKU (Norse Up!) I focused on film and production sound. My city is home to countless productions—from documentaries, to internal corporate videos, to sports, to TV and movies. I have been lucky enough to mix almost every kind of video in my 5 years of production sound work. I joined IATSE Local 209 in 2022 and have also acted as a boom operator and sound utility on larger union sets.

Cincinnati may be my home, but I also love to travel. I have worked across the world, from the top of Alaska in Utqiagvik, to the bottom of South Africa in Cape Town.

Boom Operating

Here I am double booming on Turtles All the Way Down (2024) with boom operator Chad Djubek.

Sports

I love working with Cincinnati teams. Above is a photo of me micing Reds player Elly De La Cruz for a baseball card promo that I mixed in 2024.

Sound Utility

This is a rare photo of me relaxing on the set of The Alto Knights (2025) as a sound utility. Working as an A2 keeps you busy!
